FAQ
WHAT IS THE MAP EXACTLY?
The map is a saved Google Map that I've curated with 600+ locations for Northern and Central California. A Google map you can access on any device and use to find places and help plan trips. The map includes accommodations, places to eat, coffee shops, and things to do (like wineries, farms, hiking trails, scenic view points, etc.)
WHAT KIND OF PLACES TO STAY WILL THERE BE? HOTELS AND AIRBNBS?
The map includes a range of places for all budgets. There are inns, hotels, and B&B's with a range of pricing. I'm also slowing adding in my preferred Airbnb's and some hosts are offering exclusive discounts on their listings for those who buy the map.
CAN I USE IT ON MY PHONE AND COMPUTER?
Yes, both. On mobile you can access the map within Google Maps or the browser and on desktop you'll use the Google Maps site. The map is super convenient to browse on the go in the mobile browser version or while trip planning.
DO YOU INCLUDE NOTES OR COMMENTS WITH TIPS ON THE SAVED LOCATIONS?
I've included small tips on the Things to Do section and select accommodations. There are no comments on restaurants to keep it simple. The map is intended to be used as a way to find places. Further research may be required depending on what it is, but the beauty of using Google Maps is that the info is often all linked right in there.
ARE THERE UNIQUE PLACES ON THE MAP DIFFERENT FROM WHATS AVAILABLE ON THE BLOG?
Absolutely. There are dozens of places that I've never covered on the blog. The map is immediate access to my brain's catalog of nearly 15 years of travel in these areas. I've included lots of places that are on the blog as well for convenience. Have it all in one centralized place is really helpful for trip planning and last-minute decisions.
